Yes, it's that magical time of year when we celebrate 4 holidays back-to-back-to-back-to-back. Jihwon finally got some breathing room to pick out some pictures from the past few months, so here they all are.
For Halloween, Jumi was still too small to go trick or treating, but she got to wear a costume this year. Sunmi had a great time trick or treating in Foster City, where they block off a neighborhood so all the kids can run around safely.
Thanksgiving was family time, as we celebrated my mom's 70th birthday. My parents became the first of my family to visit our new house, and we spent the weekend revisiting the old places they had visited when they visited SF 30 years ago. Needless to say, things have changed a bit since then. Afterwards, the entire 18 member Im clan headed down to La Jolla and had a great time together.
Christmas and New Years was primarily spent at our place just relaxing with a few friends, trying to recharge our batteries for 2010.
As far as news around here, we've decided to make it a resolution to finish our kitchen remodel this year, and we've thrown away our old design and decided to expand the house. Recession? Pshaw. On the career front, I got promoted at work and finally have people reporting to me. I'll try not to let the power go to my head. :) Also, the Shubi business had our busiest Christmas season ever, thanks to being featured in Lucky and InStyle magazines.
Sunmi about 2 weeks ago has stopped needing naps. This was a shocker to me as I was hoping she'd take naps forever. Alas, it is not to be and so my much needed naps on the weekend are no more. There was a bad side effect to the lack of naps, which is that for a week, she was so tired at night that she couldn't get up to go to the bathroom. But she seems to be over that hump now. At school she is learning about the president's and can now confidently tell you who the last 3 president's are and where they live.
Jumi is starting to get a bit feisty. She has a habit of wanting to smack Sunmi in the face and smile impishly afterwards, but after a couple of stern warnings from mom, she appears to have calmed down a bit. She's also trying to talk a lot more, and likes to sway her body to music and sing along to row, row, row your boat (she can say ro ro ro). She's also taken keenly to 'Good Night Gorilla' which she insists you read to her 5-10 times a night.
